Bank transfer schedule

Bank transfer schedule – An audit procedure used to test for the existence of kiting. The auditor lists all transfers between company subunits that occur near the end of the year, noting the date of deposit and withdrawal and comparing it to the bank dates. The withdrawal dates should be in the same accounting period as the deposit dates, or in the accounting period before the deposit dates, to avoid double counting the cash.
